Is The HCG Diet Safe?

IS the HCG Diet Safe?

Here is the newest fad diet, the HCG diet.  Anyone who is looking to loose weight or searched for some kind of diet on the internet has read about the HCG diet.  Listen to me now, it is highly effective and it works, but is it as safe and healthy and natural as everyone claims it to be?

First, the science behind HCG.  HCG or Human Chorionic Gonadotropin is a hormone that the female body produces during pregnancy. Its main purpose is to ensure the health of the fetus by making stored fat cells available for the developing baby to use. This is the reason why pregnant women can vomit constantly without negatively affecting their baby’s nutrition. In the 1950s, Dr. ATW Simeons found out that when given
to both men and women, HCG reduced appetite and promoted weight loss. It specifically reduced weight in the buttocks, hips, and
thigh areas. (hcgdiet.com)

Along with the hcg drops, you are put onto a strict diet of only 500 calories per day.  Most diet plans will restrict calories but will allow up to 1200 calories per day.  The information I’ve found states that the hcg drops slow cravings and diminishes your appetite so you don’t feel as hungry.  This can be argued at times depending on who you listen to.  More on this later in the article.

HCG and Ketosis, Is it Safe?

When you restrict a person’s diet to only 5oo calories you force you body to enter into a state of ketosis.  You can learn as much as you want about ketosis on the internet but in a nut shell here is the definition.  As you begin this diet you starve the body of sugar and very limited protein.  Over a few days of no sugar or carbohydrate intake your body is forced into a process called lipolysis.  This is your body starting to break down fats for energy.  Through this process and conversions, energy is formed and that is your body’s way of survival.

This is the process of buring fat in your body throught his limited calorie diet.  And guess what, it stinkin’ works. But there might be a cost which yields the question is it healthy?   In ketosis, the body burns stored fat, but if it’s extreme, it can lead to problems. The blood pH can change, making blood too acidic and essentially corrosive to internal organs.

Internal organ struggles can include liver stress which ultimately puts even more stress on the kidneys.   These are two vital organs you need strong during a weight loss or detox program.

The problem I have with the HCG diet is 1) the very restrictive diet 2) the RE-BOUND factor.

The HCG diet plan is obvious why I think it’s to restrictive in that it forces ketosis, but most people who stop following this diet (which usually lasts 26 to 40 days) begin to gain their weight back very quickly.  The biggest problem is letting this little fact known to the people who are currently on the diet or just came off the diet.  They don’t like to hear this because they are seeing results at the time.

Diet’s Don’t Work

Once again, diet’s don’t work, you need true lifestyle changes to obtain TRUE long-termed weight loss.  If you don’t change your everday activities, change the way you think about food, and think about exercise, and think about your future, everything you do is just a diet.  And diet’s don’t work.  The only time I like diet plans are when you are using a diet within your changed lifestyle.  Meaning this.  Eating well all the time and watching what you put in your mouth is a true lifestyle.  But doing a 3 or 4 day fruit an veggie only bender isn’t really bad, it’s a cleanse within a lifestyle and it is fun to do.

The cellular healing diet I use is truly a lifestyle that should be used by everyone because it works, and lasts forever.  I do have systems that help jump start weight loss such as the Xyngular Ignite System, but diet is the way to go to burn the fat we want.

Loose weight in a week!

Loose weight in a week?  Everyone can do it if you follow the right steps. This post will focus on loosing weight in only a week’s time.  There are 3 rules you must follow in order burn that weight right off or you will stay exactly where you are now, check it out.

There are other posts I have written about the difference between a sugar burner and a fat burner, and you are either 1 of the 2.  If you are a sugar burner, which most people are, you aren’t burning the fat calories you want because your brain can’t here the signals to burn fat.  Crazy isn’t it.

Here are the 3 steps you must follow in order to loose weight in a week:

1). Stop eating sugar.  This is the biggest culprit of all of them and people struggle here.  But please don’t tell me you can’t loose weight if your snacking on sugar and eating snacks that contain sugar.  Continual sugar consumption triggers a continual leptin elevation.  Leptin is a hormone that tells your brain to burn fat.  It becomes resistant over time and your brain can’t hear the message, so it gives you an unresistable urge to eat a quick snack that usually has sugar in it (chocolate ladies, sound familiar?).  Of course I’m talking about the bad sugar like chocolate, gummy bears, soda pop, etc…but it’s other sugar as well.  For instance, high fructose corn syrup is worse than sugar itself.  It raises up insulin super fast and is a neurotoxin that affects your nerve system.  This one is hard to get a way from , so read labels.  It’s in almost everything, including almost all salad dressings and ketchup!  So be careful, no sugar means, no sugar.   It’s a simple rule, but hard to follow.  Just do it.

2).  This piggy-back’s on rule #1. Don’t eat grains, even the whole healthy grains!  Grains turn to sugar in your mouth in 4 seconds, once again raising up insulin.  So take them out of your diet.  Also, grains produce inflammation in your body that will continue to damage your cells and that interferes with your body to hear the hormone leptin (so stopping your ability to burn fat remember!)  Grains today are mass produced and are genetically altered in a way that truly affects everyone’s digestion.  I see this all to often. This is also hard to start following but becomes easier as you continue with it.

3) This piggy-backs on rule #1, and rule #2.  Stop eating fruit.  What did you say?  Fruit is made of mostly what, sugar!  I know it’s the good sugar’s that God made for us to enjoy which is so true, but remember, you want to loose weight in week correct?  You must take this step out as well, we need to normalize the insulin and turn your body into a fat burning machine.

These 3 steps work very well for the patients I work with.  If you stick to these 3 steps you will see results very quickly, and obviously if you want longer lasting results and continual weight loss, stay with the program until you are satisfied with your results.  These steps push your body to start detoxing and cleansing your body and that is what allows you to loose weight.  Detox is crazy topic of it’s own, and I can teach you the correct way to do that as well.

Cellular Energy – Enzacta

This post will be quick.  Through all the research I’ve read through over the year about how to get a sick person well, it all begins right back into 9th grade biology and understanding how the cell works. We are made up of trillions of cells that all have a certain function or duty.  Some cells are liver cells, pancreas cells, intestinal cells, heart cells, or muscle cells.  Each one is related to each other as well.  If the liver doesn’t function better, there is no doubt the rest of the body will suffer because of it.

I always go back to the Healing Diet being the number one starting and ending point to any health or healing program.  Just do it, and if you can’t stay faithful to a certain diet, then you must not want to get healthy all that bad.  Period.

If our cells are lacking energy, it CANNOT perform it’s duties at 100%.  Think about yourself at work.  When you are tired and fatigued (and for some of you, when are you NOT tired?) can you get all your work done, go home and make dinner, clean dishes, play with the kids, clean the house, read, or exercise at all?  The answer is NO!  If you don’t have the energy to do that, you are toxic and need cleaning.

You can’t get good stuff in the cell or bad stuff out of the cell.  You need an increase in cellular energy to start making ATP (energy).  Once you give energy, your liver will start to liver better, the pancreas will pancreas better, the heart will beat better, and the muscles will be stronger!  And the healing process begins…



Raw Food – Why should you start?

The Healing Diet is designed to get you to eat more of a raw diet and hopefully eliminate any of the processed foods your eating now.  Raw food is in it’s natural form already, holding onto all it’s original vitamins, minerals, and enzymes.  In the natural form, it supports body systems and promotes health and healing for every single cell in the body.

Processed foods are robbed of their natural forms of vitamins, minerals, and enzymes.  That is why foods are always advertised as “fortified” because after they are processed and striped of their natural forms, then are put back in.  This type of food just taxes and overworks our digestive organs such as the stomach, pancreas, and gall bladder.

I always like to make this point.  Because your health in not quite where it should be, or because your dealing with some disease or condition, everything you’ve done in your life up to this point, has been wrong.  So, the way you are eating now, is wrong.  The way you are exerciseing (or not) is wrong.  Whatever you are drinking now, is wrong.  The way you think about food, or life for that matter, is wrong.  So we need to drastically change your mindset of every aspect of your life to improve your health!  Do you see how this is a lifestyle change and will take time to fix?  Raw food is a MAJOR change you must do first, and this will change so many areas of your life, you don’t even know what’s coming!

I rarely see a 24 Hour Urinalysis (the urine test I use in my office) with a pH level around the normal levels or even close to being alkaline.  Most people pH levels are very low, proving why they are in constant pain, or fatigue, or hold fluid, and sick and tired.  Raw food helps reverse this as raw food is very alkaline and healing for all areas of your body.  This is huge!

Raw food:  All fruits and vegetables.  Eat more vegetables than fruit.  If you are familiar with the Healing Diet, fruit is taken out at first to eliminate all sugars for healing purposes. (except for small berries.)  But fruit is so delicious and so beneficial we need to be eating more.  Nuts are a great raw food as well.  Almonds are loaded with protein but also full of the good fats we need in our diet.  Nuts are an awesome snack food to help you get to the next meal.

Start eating more raw foods and you’ll see changes you’ve only dreamed of.  Become active and concerned about what goes in your mouth, and for your children’s mouth for that matter.  Question where it came from, how it was made, grown, sprayed or not, or how close to nature it should be.  Make a plan, and stick to it!  You will love the way you’ll feel!

Eating SUGAR = Ageing FASTER

No SUGAR please

I have recently had multiple patients cut this problematic food from their diet’s and guess what happened?

Yep, they lost weight. But not only that, they felt better, slept better, and had more energy!  Sugar is the one food (if you can call it a food) that everyone should cut out of their diet if they are concerned about loosing weight.

Sugar raises up insulin within the body to abnormal levels and stays elevated for long periods of time.  If you want to age faster than everyone in your neighborhood, then keep you insulin running high and your wrinkles will start forming right before your eyes!

But what is considered to be sugar?  I believe everyone knows the obvious culprits, white flour, white sugar, all candies, white rice.  Those are definitely important, but here is some NEW information that will blow your socks off.  Whole healthy wheat and fruit should be eliminated! You said What?  I thought they were suppose to be good for you right? Yes they are, but not right now.

Your body MUST regulate it’s insulin response and normalize blood sugar levels.  Cut out all sugars, whole wheat, and fruit for a period of time, and you will see results!
