What Would I do If I Had To Loose Weight?

weight loss programI personally don’t think I’m overweight but have recently gone on a cleanse schedule with a friend to learn different protocols and I have lost 6.5 lbs in the last 3 days.  So What did I loose?  Water, protein, fat? Toxins?  Inflammation?

Probably a little of all the above.

If you are overweight you are at risk in today’s world of cardiovascular disease, heart disease, cancer, diabetes, chronic fatigue, and any other form of disease that you can think of.  Weight gain is one of the top indicators that you are putting yourself at risk for future problems.  It’s almost a guarantee.

You Are Eating the SAD Diet…Aren’t You…;)

So if you are one who follows the SAD diet, (Standard American Diet) which is all overcooked and processed foods, then you are setting yourself up for failure.  We as a country (and other countries are right behind us as they adopt our Western culture) are so full of toxins that drive inflammation and organ failure, it’s no doubt our kids are now developing type II diabetes in middles school.  It’s no doubt we have more unexplained illness happening every single day.  It’s no doubt 1/2 will develop cardiovascular disease and 1/3 will develop cancer.

So what would I do to prevent this?

Loose weight….

Diet……

Exercise….

Easy enough. But this is what you need to know.  I would focus on diet and health products that will help cleanse and push detox and fat loss. Don’t listen to your dietican for diet advice, they are so stuck in the Food Guid Pyramid schdule and whatever the government tells them and it’s bad advice.  Higher fat diets are essential.  Saturated fats are actually good for you.  Butter is great.  Wheat and grains are bad. Sugar is bad.  Red meat is good for you.  Fruit is good for you. Veggies are even better for you.  etc…

I have lots of info about diet on my page.  But focus on cleaning up your diet because what you take in for food is what rebuilds your heart, lungs, eyes, pancrease, spleeen, and liver.  You need good nutrition.

Is The HCG Diet Safe?

IS the HCG Diet Safe?

Here is the newest fad diet, the HCG diet.  Anyone who is looking to loose weight or searched for some kind of diet on the internet has read about the HCG diet.  Listen to me now, it is highly effective and it works, but is it as safe and healthy and natural as everyone claims it to be?

First, the science behind HCG.  HCG or Human Chorionic Gonadotropin is a hormone that the female body produces during pregnancy. Its main purpose is to ensure the health of the fetus by making stored fat cells available for the developing baby to use. This is the reason why pregnant women can vomit constantly without negatively affecting their baby’s nutrition. In the 1950s, Dr. ATW Simeons found out that when given
to both men and women, HCG reduced appetite and promoted weight loss. It specifically reduced weight in the buttocks, hips, and
thigh areas. (hcgdiet.com)

Along with the hcg drops, you are put onto a strict diet of only 500 calories per day.  Most diet plans will restrict calories but will allow up to 1200 calories per day.  The information I’ve found states that the hcg drops slow cravings and diminishes your appetite so you don’t feel as hungry.  This can be argued at times depending on who you listen to.  More on this later in the article.

HCG and Ketosis, Is it Safe?

When you restrict a person’s diet to only 5oo calories you force you body to enter into a state of ketosis.  You can learn as much as you want about ketosis on the internet but in a nut shell here is the definition.  As you begin this diet you starve the body of sugar and very limited protein.  Over a few days of no sugar or carbohydrate intake your body is forced into a process called lipolysis.  This is your body starting to break down fats for energy.  Through this process and conversions, energy is formed and that is your body’s way of survival.

This is the process of buring fat in your body throught his limited calorie diet.  And guess what, it stinkin’ works. But there might be a cost which yields the question is it healthy?   In ketosis, the body burns stored fat, but if it’s extreme, it can lead to problems. The blood pH can change, making blood too acidic and essentially corrosive to internal organs.

Internal organ struggles can include liver stress which ultimately puts even more stress on the kidneys.   These are two vital organs you need strong during a weight loss or detox program.

The problem I have with the HCG diet is 1) the very restrictive diet 2) the RE-BOUND factor.

The HCG diet plan is obvious why I think it’s to restrictive in that it forces ketosis, but most people who stop following this diet (which usually lasts 26 to 40 days) begin to gain their weight back very quickly.  The biggest problem is letting this little fact known to the people who are currently on the diet or just came off the diet.  They don’t like to hear this because they are seeing results at the time.

Diet’s Don’t Work

Once again, diet’s don’t work, you need true lifestyle changes to obtain TRUE long-termed weight loss.  If you don’t change your everday activities, change the way you think about food, and think about exercise, and think about your future, everything you do is just a diet.  And diet’s don’t work.  The only time I like diet plans are when you are using a diet within your changed lifestyle.  Meaning this.  Eating well all the time and watching what you put in your mouth is a true lifestyle.  But doing a 3 or 4 day fruit an veggie only bender isn’t really bad, it’s a cleanse within a lifestyle and it is fun to do.

The cellular healing diet I use is truly a lifestyle that should be used by everyone because it works, and lasts forever.  I do have systems that help jump start weight loss such as the Xyngular Ignite System, but diet is the way to go to burn the fat we want.

How to Get Weight Loss

How to get weight loss is a question a lot of Americans struggle with every single day.  Believe it or not, they’re are many people who have a hard time loosing weight and even loosing a pound!  How to get weight loss review will give the best pointers for you to get the fasted results.

Exercise

The newest for of exercise for weight loss and fat burning is to burst train.  I have other article on my blog on this so look for them.  Burst training is a high intense short period of exercise.  Running on a treadmill at 100% for up to a minute and then rest.  Perform that 4 times and your done.  Research shows how you will burn more fat for the 24-48 hours after exercise than you will if you stay on that same treadmill for up to an hour running!  Keep is simple, but high intense exercise for short periods of time will shock your system and target hormones faster than any other type.

Detoxification and weight loss should be used together in all sentences because they are both so related to each other.  If you are toxic, you will have a hard time loosing weight or have the inability to loose weight at all.  This post will explain that connection.

Detoxification is a term that is so widely used that you can find many false articles trying to explain what “toxic” actually means.  And yes, as a nation, we are so toxic our bodies can’t keep up anymore, it is a real deal.

Toxins have an affinity for fat.  They are like magnets to fat so they bind to it.  Just like you remember back in 10th grade biology, all of our trillions of cells are surrounded by 2 layers of fat called a lipid-bilayer.  This can be good fat or bad fat (which is a whole other topic and blog post in itself) but toxins like to sit on that membrane and produce problems not only to the cell itself, but also hormones that should be attaching to the cell, (insulin, thyroid, leptin…etc.)  But, toxins blunt the signal the brains needs in order to burn fat for energy.  If your brain can’t hear the signal, (from the hormone Leptin) you can’t burn fat and you will have unbelieveable cravings you won’t be able to avoid, sound familiar?

Why You Burn Sugar, Not Fat!

I see many patients everyday and every week who just can’t loose weight no matter what they’ve tried.  I can immediately put them into 2 categories of weight loss:

1). You are a “Sugar Burner” or;

2). You are a “Fat Burner”

Most people who are in a state of Weight Loss Resistance, it’s obvious your a sugar burner.  Alot of people though can start exercise and diet, loose 10-15 lbs. easy, and then come to a screaming halt and stop.  Still a sugar burner, or very toxic.  The Healing Diet and detox is a must at that point.

If you are a sugar burner, your diet isn’t usually the best and your eating the wrong food, and quite possibly your neurotoxic, and loaded with toxins at the cellular level.  A diet high in carbohydrates or sugar gives the body easy access to energy to be burned immediately.  No conversion is necessary. This demands the body to continue to release insulin to push the sugar (glucose) into the cell.  To have an elevated insulin is the fastet way to age than anything else.  If you want to age faster than your friends, keep eating sugar and push your insulin high.

If sugar is continually high, your body is never pushed to burn the available fat stores.  In fact, at this point, your body doesn’t know how to burn fat anymore, so you begin to have unbelievable cravings for sugar, chocolate, etc., to fix your need for energy.  This craving is so hard to overcome and you usually sucker into a quick fix, and then your good for a few hours.

When a our body becomes toxic, the outer membrane of our cells become inflamed.  This inflammation makes it very hard to get good materials into the cell to function efficiently, but it also can’t get the bad waste materials out of the cell.  This inflammation also disrupts hormones from functioning properly and then the whole long list of symptoms begins.

When the cell becomes inflamed, you can’t produce ATP, which is cellular energy.  Without this production of energy our bodies must begin to work harder, which involves spending more energy to do little tasks.  And this cycle feeds upon itself and begins to get worse and worse.

Our current SAD diet (Standard American Diet) is very enzyme deficient in our food supply.  Food companies can now engineer even fruits and vegetables to have less enzymes in them for longer shelf life.  That makes it very hard to digest our food today and puts a huge burden on our digestive organs to digest this food.  That is why you are very tired after you eat!

Exercise properly means exercising properly.  Just do it sometime during your busy schedule and you will see results faster than if you don’t.  Exercise get blood pumping, the cardiovascular system stronger, and the muscular system more fit.  Mental clarity is a common benefit from exercise as well as less mental stress.

Weight Loss Resistance

Weight loss resistance is a huge problem in our country.  Only because, who wouldn’t like to loose a few extra pounds? America is overweight, and we all know it. (Why do you think other countries laugh at us)

I have had at least 5 consultations just this week with women who couldn’t loose weight no matter what they tried.  Diets, work outs, hanging upside down, you name it nothing has worked.  But they were missing the the one easy step.  But it is the hardest.

We need to put people into 2 categories. Sugar-burners vs. Fat-burners. Most of you reading this are sugar burners so let’s start there. In order to loose weight we must normalize our insulin levels, which is the hormone our body produces to pull sugar into our cells.  Most people walk around with an elevated insulin level that never drops below a resting state. Meaning our body is continually trying to get rid of the sugar running through our blood. (It has too, if not, you will develop Type II Diabetes).

Now think about this, if you continually have an abundant amount of sugar (glucose) handy, then your body will continue to burn that for energy (sugar-burner).  Which means you can never get to the point of burning FAT! Our bodies then become dependent upon burning sugar for energy.  When the glucose starts to drop in our system, it needs something quick. Normal bodies can start a process of burning fat, but most of you reading this can’t. Instead of burning fat like the body would like to,  it sends an unresistable craving that you can’t get a way from, and that’s when you reach for the chocolate, the snacks, and soda pop.   It’s too easy and the snack you choose satisfies your emotional section of your brain and you become happy.  Only to start this viscous cycle all over again.

How can you stop this inability to burn fat?  It’s easy, but hard. Cut out the sugar including fruit and bread becacuse they are both sugar foods. Once the insulin starts to normalize and you are eating the right foods, the body starts to turn into a fat burner. YES!

Rule #1

The one thing I have learned in my life that I will always carry with me is to not have any regrets.  I want to experience anything and everything that I want to.  I want to get places. And I want to help people.

The only difference between people who only dream about something versus those to actually obtain that goal is ACTION.  That is the only difference.  The classic line heard over and over again is, “someday I will do that,” only to see that person still struggling to figure it out.

The people I enjoy working with are those who want to make a change but are willing to take action right now.  If you aren’t willing to take the first step and be committed, I guarantee you won’t get what you want.

Let’s take weight loss for example.  The first step to making a change is setting goals and setting a schedule.  You need to plan out your day a little differently now so You can become different.  Just think of it this way.  Look at how you are living your life now and do the exact opposite.  If you wake up at 7 now, start getting up at 6.  If you don’t eat vegetables now, eat one meal a day with vegetables.  It’s the little changes that matter and a routine that will get you where you want to go.

Weight loss isn’t an overnight event.  (Although, if you follow my guidelines in my newsletter you can loose weight real quick).  You have accumulated weight over time from years and years of bad habits and lack of motivation to change.  So weight loss must be a lifestyle change with physical changes (exercise) and mental changes (how you perceive the new you).  You are in charge of how you live your life.  But Action must be taken in order to obtain any goals.

One of my favorite quotes of all time is this, “You can lead a horse to the river, but you can’t make him drink.”

Another great quote is this, “Where you are right now in life is exactly where you think you should be.”
